Acquisition Process Timeline

A clear path from hello to handshake

Selling a business you spent a lifetime building shouldn't be a mystery. Here is exactly how our process works.

  1. Introduction

    Initial Outreach

A call or email from Alexander Theofilis or one of our Associates to ascertain seller interest, assess fit, and schedule a first meeting by phone, video, or in person, whichever is most convenient for the seller.

  2. First Meeting

    Sign NDA & Submit Financials

A mutual NDA protects the seller's confidentiality from day one. Our initial data request follows within 24 hours, so you know exactly what we need.

  3. 48 Hours

    Initial Review Complete

We complete our initial review within 48 hours of receiving materials and respond with a clear answer. No seller is left waiting for weeks to hear where they stand.

  4. ~7 Days

    Offer Sent

A written LOI with clear terms covering price, structure, and transition expectations, issued within approximately 7 days of complete materials.

  5. 60 Days

    Due Diligence

A targeted financial, legal, and operational review that is organized, proportionate to the deal, and conducted discreetly so the business runs uninterrupted.

  6. 60–90 Days

    Close

Full close within 60–90 days from signed LOI, subject to approvals. With financing already pre-qualified, funding doesn't hold up the closing.

What Happens After the Sale?

The day after closing looks a lot like the day before

For most buyers, closing day is the finish line. For us, it's the start of a long-term commitment to you, your people, and the business you built.

6–12 Month Seller Transition
You won't hand over the keys and walk away overnight. We work alongside you for 6–12 months after closing, on a schedule you help set, to ensure a smooth transition and continuity for your business.
Your Brand Lives On
The name on the door doesn't change. We preserve your company's name, brand, and identity, so your customers see the same trusted business they've always known.
Your Team Stays
Your existing management and staff are retained. The people who helped you build the business keep their jobs, their roles, and their home.
Operations Continue
Day-to-day operations continue without disruption: same crews, same service, same relationships your customers count on.
Growth Resources Added
The Theofilis Group brings capital and strategic support behind the business, with resources to fuel the growth you may not have had the bandwidth to pursue alone.
Your Legacy Protected
We steward what you built for the long term. Your reputation keeps growing under a family committed to owning it for good.
If you are a business owner considering retirement, succession, or simply exploring your options, we welcome the opportunity to have a confidential, no-obligation conversation.
